it's a lot better than a lightbulb i drew in MS Paint many years ago (so long ago, the file has been long since lost).
draw a dodge RAM logo, that's pretty reflective...

I took art classes in junior/senior high from 7th-12th grade and I did an after school art program during high school for 3 years. I also studied studio art in college and if there was one thing in common that the professors and teachers said to most drawing students it was... "More contrast!" or "Brighter brights, darker darks."

I would draw a ram logo if I had a ram, I dont have my own car and my parents both have hondas. but that would be cool if it fit the criteria for the assignment

Open up your computer, take out a RAM stick. Draw that. Bam, you just drew RAM

Very nice.
I'd maybe soften or fade the shadow which is visible through the glass.
Have you ever tried using an eraser to create a reflective effect, as well as contrast? I was taught to remember the eraser is another tool not just a mistake undoer.(or something to that effect)

yes I used that technique on the screw of the bulb, and my instructor said the same thing
You cant really see it in the photo but there is a pronounced difference in darkness for the shadow behind the bulb

Don't take this the wrong way.......but my first thought was a set of Ben Wa Balls .
Do with that opinion what you will.

If I did it wouldnt be an observational drawing, I wish I could though that would be awesome! What I'd really like is for my baoding balls to actually have that pattern on them, what a cool fidget toy that would be

Dude I'm not joking, the girl I was with who used them had them in a fancy wooden case and everything. I can't think of any other time in my life when there was just a singular pair of metal balls in a some-ornate case. My advice is to go nuts and just draw the fucking chain. Be a hero!

I don't know if this is a sign I need to party less or what but I've met multiple women who openly talk about Ben Wa balls and I have yet to meet or even see someone who uses baoding balls. Seriously forgot they existed. I know I've seen them in movies but that's it. Never in person.

So its photoshopped, big whoop. Its still weird that I drew mine from an object in the room and the drawing turned out to be from the same angle as that photo.
